This is a family-friendly Mexican restaurant. It was almost full when we went there in the morning. Chilaqueles and Albondigas (meatball) soup tasted good. Menudo soup was also flavorful. Plenty of free parking. Saw a long line waiting outside when we left.
Quality food and above average flavors. The salsa was spicy and delicious. The green chile was tender. The red sauce was okay, definitely preferred the green. The rice and beans were both seasoned well. The asada had a nice grill flavor and some char which was a pleasant surprise. The service was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. *** average food **** above average food at a reasonable price. ***** Unique and delicious food. The drive is worth the price.
Comedor Guadalajara never disappoints when it comes to flavor. The shredded taco plate is always on point. their hard tacos are perfectly crisp and filled with shredded beef. The rice and beans round out the meal for a classic combo that tastes consistent every time. The only downsides are that service can be a little slow on refills and the portions don’t feel as generous as they used to be. Still, the quality of the food makes it worth coming back again and again.
Just jetted into Phoenix and went straight to one of our favourite restaurants, Comedor Guadalajara. The wait was sort 5 or 10 minutes, and when we were seated we were treated to nacho chips and a smoking hot salsa. Then the brought us out complimentary soup which was delicious. The horchata we ordered was massive, next time we will get the children’s size! My wife ordered the shredded meat taco and chicken enchilada. I had the chimichanga with red pepper sauce. Fantastic flavours and presentation. We could only eat half of our meals and took the rest home for breakfast! Always a treat when we come to Phoenix, come here you won’t be disappointed!
This is an amazing and authentic Mexican restaurant. Don't let the dated building fool you! On the inside, you'll feel like you're attending a family event and the staff makes you feel like family too! I only had the Green Chile Beef burrito, enchilada style, smothered in green sauce. My wife asked me to bring her home the same thing, a relleno and a taco. Even though I had an hour drive home, she loved it all and said the taco was AMAZING! In fact, she said she could eat endless tacos if that was an option Needless to say, I'll make sure to stop in again next time I'm in the area!
This restaurant is HUGE! but the service is always top notch excellent. This is the place where local Hispanics eat, so you know it's authentic. I recommend the enchiladas Camerones I do half red half green sauce out this world flavors. I travel to Phoenix about two times a year to see my parents. I always do my best to visit comedor Guadalajara. It's family owned and highly respected Mexican restaurant amazing food just a few miles from the airport. Their really known for there red enchilada sauce but on Saturday's and Sunday's they offer a hearty and rich Menudo. 100% recommend!
Not gonna lie, the location is not the best. The entrance is kinda hidden, but my goodness! This legit authentic Mexican food!! You know somewhere is amazing when there’s no advertisement, but yet the place is packed all the time? This is it!! I wish I showed up when there’s live music. I’m so glad my friend recommended this restaurant for. I got a free soup as soon as I am seated, then later free chips and salsa - I’m spoiled! The server is lovely. However, I wish he would elaborate the special of the day further. All he did was said a Spanish term and didn’t tell me exactly what it was. I ended up ordering the shredded beef taco and cheese enchiladas from the lunch menu. I was going to save some leftover, but 5 minutes in, never mind lol~ 100% will return.
